Reiki I Deep Foundations Training & Certification
Reiki is a natural healing art form from Japan where the palms of the hands are used close to the body or on the body to aid in relaxation and healing using universal energy flowing through and around each of us. Reiki Master and spiritual healing guide, Althea Lawton-Thompson, will dive deep into the fundamentals of Reiki I. In the first half of the trainnig, students will learn:
- The history and levels of Reiki
- The “Clairs” (the 8 spiritual gifts)
- The Chakras (the 7 energy centers in the body)
- How energy moves in and through the body
In the second half of the class, practitioners will learn and practice:
- Reiki hand techniques for self healing
- Reiki hand techniques for healing others with alternatives for hard-to-reach areas
- How to incorporate crystals and pendulums in a Reiki Session
At the end, Reiki attunements will be passed to each participant to initiate them as Reiki Practitioners able to begin a practice of Reiki healing for others.
A training manual accompanies this training. This certificate is a qualified pre-requisite for any master instructor’s Reiki II training and attunement. A certificate will be presented to all students who complete the training and receive the attunements.
Is there a minimum age requirement for this training?
Anyone aged 16 and over may register and participate.
What can/should I bring to the training?
Bring a notebook or journal to take additional notes to the information in the training manual; a pen or pencil; a camera or camera-phone; a pillow and/or thick blanket to sit on; your own personal crystals or stones if you have them; and a relaxed and open mind-set.

Is lunch provided?
No. The venue is attached to Marlowe’s Tavern and is less than a mile from Chik-Fil-A, Jason’s Deli, Red Lobster, Chipotle, Panera Bread, and many other restaurants. There will be a 1.5 hour break for lunch, study, and practice.
