The word Reiki is a Japanese term for Spiritual (Rei) Energy (ki). In this natural healing art form, the palms of the hands are used close to the body or on the body to aid in relaxation and healing.
Reiki Master and spiritual healing guide, Althea Lawton-Thompson, will dive deep into the fundamentals of Reiki I. In the first half of the class students will learn:
- the history and levels of Reiki
- the “Clairs” (the 8 spiritual gifts)
- the Chakras (the 7 energy centers in the body)
- how energy moves in and through the body
In the second half of the class, practitioners will learn and practice:
- Reiki hand techniques for self healing
- Reiki hand techniques for healing others with alternatives for hard-to-reach areas
- how to incorporate crystals and pendulums in a Reiki Session
At the end, the attunements will be passed to each participant so that they will be Reiki Practitioners able to begin a practice of self healing and physical healing for others.
A training manual accompanies this training. This class is the pre-requisite for any Reiki II training and attunement. A certificate will be presented to all students that complete this training and receive the attunements.
